Define and document setup and configuration parameters. Define and follow Cognos development best practices. Provide subject matter expertise in Cognos BI solution architecture. Provide system support for the Cognos environment (Cognos Administration for both the development and production environments) Manage report security, folder security, database row level security, report schedules and distribution. Coordinating with Software Testers and Release Management to integrate the final work product into the production environment by creating deployment files. Experience working in a software development environment. Clear, logical, and effective verbal/written communication skills. Clearly demonstrated sense of urgency and bias for action. Ability to work well under pressure and independently. Ability to forge strong working relationships at senior levels. Ability to effectively negotiate with other teams to create a mutually beneficial solution. Ability to effectively direct the work of others.
