Either Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday. 30 West Spring Street. Columbus, OH 43215 Data Modeler should have a sound knowledge of data warehousing with good communication skills. Data Modeler is expected to design models that integrate data from various sources, reduce data redundancy, streamline data movements, and improve enterprise information management. Data Modeler Responsibilities: Analyzing and translating business needs into relational data models. Evaluating existing data systems. Working with the business team to create conceptual data models and data flows. Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models. Updating and optimizing local and metadata models. Define and develop data modeling practices, standards, and guidelines. Create and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models and metadata. Work with business/data analysts to define data requirements and design data models. Collaborate with the development team to ensure the database design meets application requirements. Conduct data analysis and quality assurance to ensure data integrity and consistency. Implement database schema changes and modifications. Document data models, metadata, data flows, and data dictionaries. Provide technical support and guidance to users. Data Modeler Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field. 3 years of hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling. Knowledge of metadata management and related tools. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience with data modeling tools like ERwin, ER/Studio or PowerDesigner. Experience with SQL. Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL. Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
