Terms: 12-month Contract Location: Tallahassee FL onsite Work schedule details: 100% onsite on day 1 Interview Process: 2round Interview Process 1st round with State of Florida, 2nd round with State of Florida Education - Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Scope of Services The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (Department or FLHSMV), Division of Information Systems Administration (ISA) is seeking the services of an experienced consultant to act as an Advanced Applications Development Analysts and work with the ISA Development Team in the design, development and maintenance support for Departments Microsoft .NET applications, which may include Florida Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management (PALM) application. Primary Job Duties/ Tasks The submitted candidate must be able to perform the following duties and/or tasks: a. Work with the Departments Contract Manager to serve as the primary point of contact to ensure that start-up activities are completed within fourteen (14) days prior to the performance of services. Start-up activities include Departments fingerprint background check and online information security Training security requirements; b. Work with all stakeholders to identify system needs and gather business and functional requirements; c. Analyze stakeholder requirements to determine the work effort needed to enhance, modify, or create an application and the related impact on other applications/system areas; d. Translate stakeholder requirements into technical and functional specifications for approval, development, testing and code review purposes; e. Develop proof of concepts, mockups and other documents for task and/or activity; f. Write, debug, and maintain code to ensure application functionality, integrate hardware and software components; g. Prepare and complete stakeholder requests for the creation, modification or enhancement of new or existing applications/systems; h. Conduct unit, system, and regression testing; i. Assist, troubleshoot, and validate application deployments as assigned by the Departments Contract Manager; j. Research and evaluate options to help identify ways to improve efficiency, increase security and reduce system issues, errors or data anomalies; k. Write and maintain application documentation (specifications, process flow, etc.) as assigned by the Contract Manager; l. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving system issues and help desk requests; m. Provide application knowledge, mentoring and guidance to Department staff in software development and related issues as assigned by the Departments Contract Manager; n. Provide .Net Training and Mentoring to the Departments staff members; o. Attend and participate in all assigned meetings; p. Attend Department required training; and q. Complete a Project Report and a Project Timesheet on a weekly basis.
