Database Tester Location: Austin, TX- Need TX candidates only Duration: 6+ months Must Have Skills/Experience: Database (Back End Tester): Ideal candidate should have 10+ years of hands-on QA experience with 6+ of database testing. Exceptionally strong SQL skills is a must for this position. Skills/Experience: Experience in data testing using tools such as SQL, MSSQL, MS SQL Management Studio; Oracle Experience in Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics; Apache PySpark; Spark Notebook Experience working in Reporting products Experience in functional testing of web application / technologies Strong analytical skills with high attention to details and accuracy Excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with Developers, Product Managers, Project Managers Should be willing to switch between functional, automation and manual testing per needs Experience in data testing using tools such as SQL, MSSQL, MS SQL Management Studio; Oracle Nice to have Business Analyst mindset / skill to evaluate user experience in the product and make recommendations to Product Managers Should be technically adaptable and able to learn new tools and technologies and implement the same within a short duration Experience working in Agile Development Methodology DevOps CI/CD experience Responsibilities: Teacher Retirement System of Texas is looking to hire Database Tester position and seeking qualified and experienced candidates in this field. We are planning to complete interviews by end of the month. Candidate must be capable of constructing complex SQL queries to assert and validate different database views, tables and triggers.
