Role: Sr Business Analyst Location: Seattle, WA (hybrid) Long term contract Job Description: Responsibilities: 1. In collaboration with developer and engineer, fully document homegrown MS Access applications, (26 identified to date), along with associated as-is business processes, to an extent that if the developer were to leave another MS Access expert would be able to debug any issues that might arise. Many of these apps are used with customer meters lifecycle from testing meters to install, to testing when installed, to communicating with customer billing system. Some are essential to support compliance traceability requirements. Part of the documentation to include cell phone videotaping of the applications in action with the equipment and then to create user job aides. 2.Document user requirements for each app - what must it do from a business perspective, essentially why it matters and explore other options to consider vs. maintaining status quo. 3. In collaboration with assigned Business Architect, evaluate options and develop a short-term plan to manage the applications as is starting, along with a long-term plan to move off the non-supported version of Access to supported version or entirely different applications as appropriate, considering such tools as CC&B, WACS, NMS, AMI and other enterprise class systems already in place. Explore possibility of Landis and Gyr applications designed to work with client meters.
