They work on small boards on the bots that are made up of FPGAs, STMs and TCP/IP. The bot release date is slated for next June, but they are behind on the project and need headcount to help bring the project back on track. WHAT YOULL WORK ON: Collaborate both inter-team and cross-functionally to create software solutions using C++. Clearly document requirements and design. Mentor junior engineers. WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR: Experience implementing software for embedded platforms. Extensive C++ skills; C++11/14 is highly desired. Strong grasp of concurrency and multi-threaded design. Experience developing software for Linux and at least one real-time OS (QNX preferred). Understanding of Test Driven Development and how to properly unit test code. Ability to gather requirements and get stakeholder approval for complex problems. Knowledge of common development tools and practices: environments, compilers, versioning (i.e. git, SVN), software configuration management, defect tracking, and peer review methodologies.
