Role: - Managed File Transfer (MFT) / TIBCO Engineer Location: - Remote / Hybrid -Kansas City, MO Job Type: - Long Term Contract Job Description As a Managed File Transfer Engineer, you will enhance file transmission systems, and work on implementing and improving file transfer workflows, monitoring and new products. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to translate business requirements and functional specifications into optimal solutions implementing performant, scalable designs, and stable systems. You will also be working with technical experts throughout the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise solutions. You will represent the Technology team with vendors and support teams on issues such as software upgrades, problems, and potential solutions. Ability to adapt, learn and support multiple managed file transfer technologies. You will have exceptional documentation skills and ability to communicate with developers and have firsthand experience with project management frameworks. You will be a subject matter expert in managed file transfer technology, terminology, and - Tibco MFT product suite. Duties Include: Gathering requirements from internal & external customers. Provide MFT solutions to internal & external customers that meet or exceed requirements and industry standards/best practices. Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation schedule Work projects simultaneously spanning multiple applications/releases Support tuning MFT systems and application code Work with peers to develop and improve controls, stream-line procedures through automation, update documentation and implement new functionality Perform root cause analysis on escalated incidents and work with vendor to identify and resolve application defects. Demonstrate skills in performance tuning, design, and troubleshooting Technical knowledge of Linux, Windows, Mainframe and Cloud Operating Systems Determine and advocate best practices surrounding enterprise file transfer Following product and technology experience preferred: Java, HTML5, JavaScript, MySQL, ServiceNow, Shell scripts Familiarity with file transmission in the AWS cloud is a plus Required Skills: Proficient in root cause analysis, bug identification and remediation. Expertise in file transfer protocols, E2E development/testing of MFT flows, industry standards for secure file transmission, network requirements and API enablement 5+ years MFT experience in UNIX and Windows enterprise environments Knowledge & experience in the following protocols: AS2/SSH/SSL Able to manage complex and changing workloads.
