Manager knows most other managers at other banks so he can sniff out a fake easily Does not want people with just familiarity of axiom needs to be a hard-core axiom developer Work on own with minimal guidance and interact with stakeholders Project Overview: Global Regulatory system is regulatory reporting project using on premise vended product from Adenza (Axiom SL) and the scope includes regulatory reporting requirements in APAC, EMEA and NA regions. APAC & NA instances have been live in production for over an year and the current focus in on implementing EMEA regulatory reports in Axiom SL. Contractor's Role: Contractor will be participating in series of development activities across various projects in Axiom space. They will also be participating in BAU support activities such as patch updates / enhancements to support regular filings. Qualifications (must haves): Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience as a developer in IT Industry. Minimum 3 years of hard-core hands-on development experience with Axiom controller view Knowledge & hands on expertise on various regulatory & risk reporting modules in Axiom such as (Prime reports, CCAR, SCCL, FR2052a etc.,.) Familiarity & hands on experience with financial & reporting data Proven analytical skills & problem-solving capabilities are must Good communication skills (verbal & written) are must Ability to work closely with business partners & technology teams and having the ability to provide walkthroughs. Tasks & Responsibilities: Must have the ability to create Axiom objects such As Data Sources, Data Models, Shorthands, Portfolios, Aggregations along with other data mapping activities. Must have prior experience in mapping and configuring free form reports, tabular reports and automation of Axiom workflows. Prior experience on configuring APAC taxonomy reports (Singapore, Australia) and EMEA regulatory reporting initiatives is must. Prior experience and knowledge on US regulatory reports is a benefit FFIEC031, FFIEC041, FFIEC009 etc., Work in the role of an Axiom Developer in a fast-paced environment, must be a self-starter, comfortable dealing with clients, VERY strong communication skills. Must have the ability to review project related documents such as BRD, FSD and understand the design and solutions architecture with minimal guidance. Hands on development of ETL jobs, scripting and delivering the functionality details in technical specifications. Development and review of PL SQL & other DB code to support date sourcing into Axiom. Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and departments standards. Must have prior performance tuning experience both inside the Axiom controller view as well as at the DB level. Preparation and execution of detailed unit test cases. Creation of Data Sources, Data Models, Shorthands, Portfolios, Aggregations, Fee Form and Tabular Report and workflows using AXIOM controller view tool based on Regulatory report requirements. Migration of Axiom components from one environment to another. Understanding the Functional documents and work with BA/Users to develop the reports. Good experience in Regulatory Reporting and Data Warehousing Do NOTs: Do not submit Business analyst resumes although they have familiarity with Axiom. Development is not same as analysis. Do not submit resumes of ETL / Database developers (I am purely looking for Axiom developer) Do not submit resumes without properly vetting the candidates background and experience Interview process: Minimum 2 rounds, hands on coding / development tasks to be completed on call.
