Position: Sr. AWS Engineer (Onsite) Location: Midtown Manhattan, NY (Onsite Day 1) Duration: 6 months Job Description 8+ years AWS 3+ years CLI Banking or Brokerage experience is required Required Qualifications: Possess a minimum of 8 years of professional experience within the United States, exclusively with US-based companies. Demonstrate a solid track record of at least 10 years in the field of Information Technology. Showcase a recent 3-year engagement with a prominent Banking or Brokerage entity within the last 5 years, specifically involving AWS Cloud systems. Exhibit a minimum of 6 years of recent hands-on experience in designing and implementing Cloud systems and applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS). Proven expertise in navigating AWS through both the Command Line Interface (CLI) and the management console. Proficient in monitoring AWS instances and services, with a comprehensive understanding of platform capabilities, architectures, and engineering solutions across multiple Cloud accounts and services. Specialized experience in architecting and configuring Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs). Proficiency in Operations related to firewalls, routers, and switches, with the ability to formulate access control lists (ACLs) via the Command Line Interface (CLI). Demonstrated proficiency in developing and implementing vulnerability remediation strategies. Experience in configuring and executing vulnerability and web application scans. Proficient in automating server configuration for security, encompassing logging, key changes, and system hardening. Expertise in establishing administrator and service accounts, along with troubleshooting, updating, and maintaining system documentation. Strong understanding of software evaluation principles and practices. Responsibilities: As a Senior AWS Engineer, the role involves: Designing, building, and administering a new secure cloud platform based on industry standards, best practices, and guidelines. Establishing technical standards and specifications and leading the design, build, and support of shared services cloud platform components. Providing professional support services and integrating relevant products, ensuring implementation aligns with best practices. Conducting a thorough review of the existing architectural landscape and offering appropriate recommendations. Evaluating various solutions and determining the one that best fits the project requirements. Developing and maintaining infrastructure and backend applications, drawing on experience in web application technologies and middleware solutions. Actively researching new technologies and products for their applicability to business processes. Offering tier 3 (Highest Level) support for the platform.
