From: Akash Verma, TEK INSPIRATIONS LLC [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - System Engineer/Admin PV W2 6+ months Location Inner Grove, MN hybrid onsite 3x a week Must have: 5+ years of experience supporting IBM iSeries systems as a system engineer 5+ years of experience with IBM iSeries hardware and operating system software 5+ years of experience in IBM iSeries security management, operating system upgrades, PTF deployment, and hardware upgrades Experience with IBM BRMS and Advanced Job Scheduler Responsibilities: Adhere to and promote existing ITIL processes and standard procedures Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for 24x7 global support Provide remote support for Operation and Help Desk support Support and Maintain IBMi Security processes, audit requirements, and DR exercises Manage existing technology solutions to ensure they are secured, available and perform optimally Working knowledge and management of Virtual Tape Library (VTL) solutions (DELL/EMC) configuration(s) and support BRMS Experience with IBMi Access Client Solutions with the ability to support, install and trouble shoot the application Support and maintenance of the IBMi operating systems, DB2, Telnet, FTP (SFTP), DNS, iNetserver, HTTP, and SMTP, ODBC Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications: Practical understanding and experience with disaster recovery procedures Experience with IBM disk systems, Independent Auxiliary Storage Pools (iASP's), and storage-based replication Experience with Fortra suite of software products including PowerTech Encryption, Authority Broker, Compliance Monitor, Exit Point Manager, Robot Schedule, Webdocs, and Performance Navigator Practical understanding and experience with FTP/SFTP communications and encryption protocols Experience managing and analyzing database and audit journals Demonstrated capability in vendor relationship and contract management Good knowledge of coding using CL (IBM Control Language) Good knowledge of SQL commands in DB2 Keywords: wtwo Minnesota |
