Role: Sr. Oracle DBA Job Type :Hybrid Location : Menands, NY Duration : 12+ Month(s) Opening : 1 Opening ! All Visa No Skill Requirements Installing, upgrading, and patching Oracle Database software in an Oracle Exadata and IBM AIX environment with RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Enterprise Manager, and GoldenGate. Creating Oracle databases. Developing and testing a backup and recovery strategy, backing up Oracle databases regularly, and recovering them in case of failures. Configuring the network environment to enable to connect to databases. Starting up and shutting down the database. Managing storage for the database. Managing users and security. Monitor performance and availability of Oracle database environment Starting and stopping Oracle databases as necessary Creating and maintaining documentation related to all tasks and provide mentoring/knowledge transfer to other staff as necessary Required: 84 months of experience troubleshooting Oracle 10g or higher database performance and other related issues; specifically, by working with other teams to identify if the issue is at the storage, network, database, or application tier. 84 months of experience working with developers to suggest modifications which could improve the performance of their SQL (e.g., avoiding cartesian products, suggesting indexes, etc). 84 months of experience using RMAN for backup and recovery of Oracle 10g or higher databases. Experience must include using RMAN for recovery. 84 months of experience upgrading and patching Oracle 10g or higher Database software in a Unix-like environment (e.g. AIX, Linux, Exadata etc). Experience must include both upgrading and patching an entire RAC cluster with Data Guard. 7.5 10 84 months of experience installing Oracle 10g or higher Database software in a Unix-like environment (e.g. AIX, Linux, Exadata etc). Experience must include installing and configuring an entire RAC cluster with Data Guard. 48 months of experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13 or higher. 48 months of experience working with Goldengate in an Oracle database environment 36 months of experience with Oracle 10g or higher with an application tier which uses IBM Cram architecture (direct experience with Cram itself not necessary).
