Job ID: 26130-06 Title: Sr. Business Analyst Location: Golden, CO 80401 (Onsite) Duration: 12Months (With possible extension) Responsibilities: Document Requirements. This responsibility (but is not limited to) includes Eliciting, Analyzing, Documenting, Validating, and ultimately Verifying Requirements. Document Business Processes. This responsibility includes (but is not limited to) defining all stakeholder groups, interviewing subject matter experts to determine process name, boundaries, inputs & outputs, and activities. It includes holding process review sessions, and identifying process roles. It includes documenting these things in a flowchart, iterating on early drafts with SMEs, presenting to stakeholders and publishing process documentation. Map Data Flows. This responsibility includes (but is not limited to) identifying data sources, analyzing data type, interviewing subject matter experts, documenting how data moves between platforms, and validating data maps with SMEs. Demonstrate familiarity with processes related to administration of educational processes. This will be necessary to collaborate with Jeffco teammates to advance the organizational maturity of Jeffco. Familiarity with Research & Assessment best practices. This will be necessary to collaborate with Jeffco teammates to advance the organizational maturity of Jeffco. Technical Risk Management. This responsibility is shared by all roles that support Jeffcos Data Culture Portfolio. Each teammate is responsible to 1) proactively identify project risks, 2) resolve those risks within your span of control, and 3) clearly escalate project risks outside your span of control in a timely manner. Support project managers as requested & assigned. This responsibility may include functions such as 1) serving as scribe in select project meetings, to capture & publish meeting minutes, 2) Following up on project action items, or 3) updating Project records (ex: RAID log). Act as liaison between technical and non-technical personnel Other duties as assigned Required Skills: Business Analyst experience: 3+ years required, 5+ years preferred Experience working in education (public school system experience preferred): 3+ years required, 5+ years preferred Experience leading education-focused research and assessment: 3+ years required, 5+ years preferred Expert skill in statistical analysis & data interpretation Expert skill in Survey Design & Product Development Proficient in Data Operations and Data Visualization Proficient in Policy and Program Evaluation High proficiency in technical writing Thrives in a high-trust environment, in which teammates have a high degree of empowerment and responsibility.
