Work Hours and Location:  Remote, Austin 

Candidates selected for this opportunity may be required to physically attend meetings in Austin, TX, with minimal notice. 

In order to assist in quickly acclimating the Worker to DFPS/ITS, they will be required to attend a virtual onboarding session and to 
physically pick up agency issued equipment in Austin, TX on their first day of contract. There will be additional appointments and blocks of time that the contractor will need to attend during their first week of assignment. 

**Local to Austin, strongly preferred as may have to go on-site for meetings etc with little to no notice period and state as well as Genius Road will not pay for travel expenses to the work site.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services requires the services of 3 Change Management Manager/Organizational Change Management (OCM) 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Change Management Manager/Organizational Change Management (OCM) 2, Information Technology Services Management (ITSM Operations) and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Department of Family and Protective Services will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

DFPS is seeking individuals with the defined skills and qualifications to work as a team with other DFPS contracted resources to produce defined deliverables which will aid the agency in guiding the implementation of large changes to facilitate adoption. This role will provide strategic planning to minimize the adverse effects of organizational changes within the agency and with external stakeholders.

Worker is responsible for the following: 

        Evaluate the readiness of the agencys ability to adopt and change by conducting and completing impact analyses and assessments.

        Design, develop, and implement change management strategies and plans for identified projects.

        Engage and support internal DFPS staff, senior and executive leaders; and external stakeholders to include community and federal partners in defining and implementing roles and responsibilities. 

        Create actionable deliverables for the core change management plans: Sponsor plan, People Manager Plan, Communications Plan, Training Plan, Resistance Management Plan; and others as identified.

        Lead communication efforts for identified projects.

        Track and report on issues and mitigation actions.

        Define and measure success through metrics.
