Please have a look and let me know if you have any suitable candidates Role: Senior Project Manager (Must have Data Center Move experience) Location: Boston, MA (Only local) NO H1B, TN About the Job IT Datacenter Project Manager The MBTA seeks a Senior Technical Project Manager to manage the design, implementation, and migration into our CoLo datacenter facility. As such, the Project Manager must have specific, significant experience in the design and implementation of datacenters along with supporting technologies. The candidate should be able to manage the entire life cycle from requirements definition, design, build, and manger the subsequent migration into the new facility. Oversight of either in-house MBTA resources or the outsourcing for the procurement of materials and implementation services. Key requirements for this position are: Experience managing projects that involve datacenter buildouts and migrations Ability to deliver a quality solution on-time and on-budget Ability to oversee cross-functional working technical teams Ability to interface with and balance multiple management teams for executive support Ability to learn and apply MBTA-specific project methodology and departmental procedures to cross-functional teams Ability to create and manage a project plan, track milestones, and identify dependencies Ability to create and execute strategies for risk/issue mitigation and contingency planning Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to interact efficiently and effectively with people of all levels of IT and business positions Previous experience with being a team leader and contributor Provides leadership to build and maintain supportive relationships and commitment of team members to team goals and objectives Previous experience with managing multiple vendor contracts, relationships, and deliverables.
