Your expertise in both Azure SQL and Oracle DB will be crucial in ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining optimal database performance throughout the migration process. Key responsibilities: Migration Leadership: Lead the migration efforts from Oracle to Azure SQL, ensuring a seamless transition for the Health Insurance Exchange project. Develop and execute migration plans, including data transfer, schema conversion, and application testing to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define migration requirements, timelines, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives. Database Management: Manage and maintain Azure SQL and Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Implement database monitoring and optimization strategies to proactively identify and resolve performance issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal database performance. Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and security updates, to ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational policies and standards. Health Insurance Exchange - PPCA Implementation: Play a key role in implementing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPCA) within the Health Insurance Exchange project, leveraging your expertise in database administration to support data management and reporting requirements. Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand PPCA requirements and translate them into database solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and data privacy laws. Support the development and implementation of database-driven applications and reporting tools to facilitate PPCA compliance and reporting. Required Qualifications: Proven experience in database administration, with expertise in Azure SQL and Oracle DB. Hands-on experience leading database migration projects, preferably from Oracle to Azure SQL. Strong knowledge of database management principles, including database design, performance optimization, and data integrity. Experience with Health Insurance Exchange projects or healthcare-related databases is preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
