Ensure systems are up and running, and that they are performing as expected , monitoring system performance, analyzing system logs, and troubleshooting problems when they occur. Position will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the operating systems, applications, and software that Clients relies on to run its day-to-day operations. Position will be expected to have a thorough understanding of Linux command-line tools, as well as experience with scripting and automation tools. As the Linux administrator, Position will be expected to have experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef, and be able to create and manage scripts and workflows that automate routine system administration tasks. Container Administration, Position responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and deploying applications in a Kubernetes (container) environment, researching for automation opportunities, troubleshooting issues, promote security, efficiency and scalability of core services and capabilities. When issues arise with Clients systems, Position will be expected to have the skills and experience to troubleshoot and resolve the problem as quickly as possible. This means gathering data, analyzing system logs, and leveraging knowledge of Linux systems/Kubernetes and tools to diagnose the issue and recommend/implement a solution. Position will also be responsible for documenting troubleshooting processes and sharing insights with colleagues, developing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to ensure that similar issues are prevented in the future. Knowledge of virtualization is critical for Position, to manage multiple servers and applications securely. Expertise in server hardware and storage technologies are essential to ensure optimal system performance. Essential Functions: Maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux-based systems and applications Server configuration and optimization, configure and optimize Red Hat Linux servers for specific applications and workloads. Fine-tuning system parameters, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring scalability. Designing and implementing Linux-based solutions for various business needs Developing and maintaining scripts using programming languages such as Python, Perl, and Bash Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure proper system integration and functionality. Monitoring system performance and implementing necessary updates and upgrades. Ensuring system security and compliance with Client standards and Best Practices Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for systems under management Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Red Hat Linux servers. Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify underlying problems and implement corrective actions. Responsible for designing and implementing complex Linux systems, creating, and enforcing policies and procedures. Create the container infrastructure platform. Creating automation for deployment and configuration of clusters Ensure the platform complies with Client security requirements. Deploying Applications: Use Kubernetes to orchestrate the deployment, scaling, and operations of application containers across clusters of hosts. Automating Cloud Processes: Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines) to streamline development processes. Maintaining Infrastructure: Ensure the reliability and security of cloud infrastructure and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Performance Tuning: Optimize system performance, including network communication and storage operations within Kubernetes environments. Deploying, monitoring the applications in a Kubernetes environment Configuring hardware, services, managing settings and storage Troubleshoot issues and solve problems where needed. Documentation and support Candidate: Be highly knowledgeable and experienced with REHL and container-based systems. Have strong problem-solving skills. Be able to work independently and as part of a team. Have excellent communication skills. Possess specific technical skills, such as knowledge of command-line interfaces, managing Linux filesystems, configuring network devices and protocols, and managing system performance and troubleshooting.
