Position:Oracle Apex Developer with Admin experience Location:Boston MA , Hybrid position - 2 days per week in-person is MUST from day-1. DO NOT reach out if you cannot make it in-person. Duration:Long term Job Description: The Senior Apex Developer serves a critical role on the Lab Information Management Systems and shall act as an Apex DBA and senior developer on new and existing systems and other related application-specific processes including technical application support for Apex/Oracle and any 3rd party related components. Assists in the development and implementation using Oracle/Apex. Assists in database design and database reporting process, using Oracle, BI, and related reporting services. Support ancillary applications and data feeds including Electronic Laboratory Reporting system (ELR), Rhapsody and others and create and maintain related technical documentation. Support Application Upgrades and Releases Keeps close monitoring of minor and major software updates and releases: Planning, managing technical risk, and advising management. Minimum 3+ years of experience in an Apex Lead role. 5+ years of professional experience doing Oracle database management & database administration. Expertise with relational database design, capacity planning, security, and other distributed data issues. Strong working knowledge of query, index and DB I/O performance tuning. Ability to manage all DB maintenance plan activities including backups, indexing, integrity and consistency checks, etc. Troubleshooting and resolving Apex technical issues. Possessing a general understanding of database administrator methodologies. Experience working in a PMO environment. Experience working with software vendors. Possessing a strong understanding of testing methodologies for functional, systems, integration, performance, and user acceptance. Evidence of ability to work within a team and promote a collaborative work environment. Possess organizational, presentational and customer service skills. Experience working in the Healthcare Industry and HL7 standards. * Good communication and interpersonal skills.
