Role: Project Manager Location: Cerritos, CA (100% Remote (Must Reside in Southern CA) Duration: 12+ Months Interview: Video/ Phone Need LinkedIn profile link Job Description: Project Manager/Business Analyst needed for our government client in Cerritos, CA. 100% remote, but must do the livescan on site. Experience Required: This classification requires a minimum of five (5) years of broad, extensive and increasingly responsible PM project experience applying project management (PM) principles, methods, techniques, and tools. At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity. The PMP certification is required and may not be substituted with additional experience. Experience Preferred: Five (5) year experience working as a Project Manager or Information Technology projects that impact at least 100 users. Two (2) year experience within the last 5 years performing functional and technical analysis on a Case Management System (CMS) project with a data integration component. Three (3) year experience within the last 5 years in providing strategic advice in the form of formal documentation or presentations. Skills Preferred: Knowledge of project management and control of project activities including system documentation related to the technology development and implementation. Capable of developing and conveying project status and upcoming tasks through presentations in regular status meetings and/or teleconferences. Understanding of the software development life-cycle for the following project types: Data-driven Web Development, Data Integration, Archiving of Digital Assets, Application Userbase Onboarding. Understanding of the Agile pattern for project management. Can do the review of existing business process, workflows, and technical architecture documentation to gain deep understanding of a programs current state and propose new solutions. Possess communication skills for interacting with SMEs and technical experts for the understanding of new business practices that could be scoped-in the new system. Formulation of other project management strategies and staging associated schedule to determine critical path. Can design security models for a data integration framework. Can create test plans and planning for the execution of such plans in a staging environment. Able to develop data migration strategies to port existing structured data and unstructured data to a new environment. Able to organize and lead prototyping sessions with stakeholders to identify possible gaps in the solutions that are going to be introduced. Documentation of detailed production implementation plan and rollback procedures to facilitate any go-live event. Conducting knowledge-transfer to a technical support team. Education Required: This classification requires the possession of (a) a bachelors degree, and (b) a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), which will be verified during the RFO process. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. The PMP certification is required and may not be substituted with additional experience. Additional Information: Consultant hiring will be contingent to passing LiveScan fingerprint background check as a requirement for the governance of sensitive criminal history data.
