The Senior Software Engineer performs analysis of business requirements, designs and develops software components, ensures quality, coordinates with Product Owner and Business Analyst on delivery and deployments. Works in a team environment and provides technical guidance throughout the software development life cycle. Responsible to meet customer expectations, troubleshoot problems in the application and assist stakeholders and customers in implementation decisions. Responsibilities 1. Significant contribution toward feature development using FICO Blaze Advisor 7x, collaborating with other FICO Blaze Software Engineers on the team, and keeping projects and tasks on time and on budget. 2. Review/analyze business requirements, develop functional specifications and perform gap analysis of existing information systems. Develop high-level technical specifications and detailed program specifications for review with project team, including other development staff. 3. Design and develop software for new functionality, improvements and system longevity. Ensure the ongoing support activities to meet the customers service level agreement Provide regular status and feedback to the project stakeholders. 4. Engage regularly with the AURA team Architect, Product owners and Business Analysts to ensure customers expectations are met, gain understanding when desired outcomes are not feasible and provide alternative solutions to meet objective(s). 5. Ensure software quality processes are adhered to, prepare the required documentation of technical architecture and design are completed and communicated in a timely manner. 6. Provide training and coaching for team members and users as required. 7. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. 8. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience Preferred: Masters degree or equivalent experience LOMA certification Oracle/Java Certification EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Required: 10+ years of experience in programming/systems analysis. Advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into systems design and technical solutions and perform solution gap analysis Expert knowledge of object oriented programming using FICO Blaze Advisor, JAVA and JavaScript. Intermediate knowledge of Postgres, Oracle and MongoDB. Intermediate knowledge of SOAP/REST API development Intermediate knowledge of Jenkins and GitHub CI/CD tools. Entry level/interest in learning Groovy, Grails, and Gradle technologies. Design and develop software components and enhance system performance Experience in Agile/Scrum SDLC methodology and contribute with the development team to achieve the project milestones and goals Engage and coordinate internal teams with teams outside of immediate group such as helpdesk, vendors to meet and exceed customer expectations. Troubleshoot and resolve technical, performance and other application issues within the stipulated time boundaries Ability to work with multiple stakeholders including Product Owners, sales team, Global IT and Management, maintaining effective relationship and trust Advanced interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills Complex analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well within a team environment. Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
