This includes understanding and documenting all aspects of the operational workflow, from receiving to shipping, with a meticulous eye for detail. Systems Evaluation: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the limitations and challenges posed by the current Warehouse Management System (WMS) software. Assess how it impacts daily operations and identify areas for improvement. Business Process Analysis: Utilize your expertise in distribution operations and SAP/WMS systems to analyze existing business processes. Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization within the distribution center's operations. Data Analysis: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data related to warehouse operations. Use data-driven insights to inform process improvements and decision-making. Documentation: Develop comprehensive documentation of current state processes, including SOPs, workflow diagrams, and data analysis reports. Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and accessible for stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the distribution center by actively seeking opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains. Provide recommendations for future state process improvements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field. Proven experience in process improvement and optimization within distribution or logistics operations. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems, particularly SAP/WMS. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dig deep into data to uncover insights. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization. LSS Black Belt is ideal. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. MedTech wants to replace the current (ancient) WMS software in the Memphis Distribution Center. This is the driver for doing all the as is maps. The estimate needs 150 current state maps written to level 4. Business value (/white dollars) potential currently unknown - need to re-visit in 2024. There is a high cyber security risk for the current Memphis DC software driving the need to upgrade. Needs to understand distribution; MLC Warehouse is the largest warehouse by square ft in NA. Help with process mapping, characterize maps, SAP/WMS Need a working level person who can dig down and help with documentation. They need a process mapper. Need to map from today to tomorrow - requires a deep engineering knowledge. Map business process, help dig data to characterize maps. Depth of understanding of distribution of daily ops.
