Ideal candidate will have public sector experience in California. The ideal candidate will have the State of California- experience Specific Task Include: Plan and implement large-scale, multi-phase projects. Help define project scope, goals, risks, and deliverables. Define tasks and required resources. Collect and manage project team. Manage budget, costs, and allocation of project resources. Create and maintain project schedule. Track deliverables. Support and direct team. Lead quality assurance. Monitor and report on project progress. Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions. Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs. Coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously, including workload prioritization. Evaluate and assess result of project. Publish Deliverable Expectations Documents (DEDs) and Deliverable Acceptance Documents (DADs) for functional, operational, and technical requirements. Execute knowledge transfer to client organization. Collaborate with head office team to produce polished deliverables to client. Requirements: Experience implementing large systems for government. Experience in all aspects of IT project governance and IT project management: 1. State Administrative Manual (SAM) 2. Project Approval Lifecycle 3. Statewide Information Management Manual (SIMM) 4. California-Project Management Framework (CA-PMF) 5. Software/System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) 6. Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Experience developing project management standards. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) 5+ years' experience successfully managing and directing IT-related projects. Active Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI, or equivalent Ability to communicate effectively, resolve issues, and produce assets in a clear and understandable manner. Preferred 2+ years of experience with the State of CA Experience in all aspects of IT project governance and IT Project Management, including: 1. State Administrative Manual (SAM). 2.
