Two days per week onsite minimum. Due to the nature of the upcoming work, face-to-face discussions are most productive especially at the beginning of large project planning sessions. Provide general support of CT DMV licensing applications. Upcoming initiative includes the replat formeing of the mainframe-based licensing system. The candidate must be proficient with mainframe platform skills including CICS, batch analysis, and SOAP web services. With the licensing system moving to to a new platform, necessary skills include.NET development, and web services. Advanced skills developing Restful web services is a primary consideration for this engagement. The project that we are gearing up for is the refactoring of a mainframe application to a modern underlying infrastructure. The candidate will be expected to assist with the transition of the legacy mainframe application from CICS, COBOL, VSam to a .NET framework, C#, SQL environment. The ideal candidate: will be proficient in .NET, C#, and SQL must have a strong understanding of CICS, COBOL, VSam to support the legacy system transition will additionally have strong skills for developing RESTful API's to support data exchange between various systems SCOPE OF WORK What does the project / work entail.
