Need Local to Michigan Must have DL from MI Title: Cloud Engineer - AWS Location: Hybrid(MI) Top Skills & Years of Experience: - 7+ years of Cloud technologies experience, preferably in AWS. - Experience with AWS services like S3, EC2, VPC, LAMDA, Amazon manage streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK), B11ROSA (OpenShift). - Experience with installing and configuring Elastic stack on a containerized environment. - Experience with Kubernetes concepts such as Pods, Deployments, Services, and Persistent Volumes. - AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) preferred. Position Summary This position is for an AWS Cloud Engineer who will support and complete the tasks necessary to design and implement cloud solutions for DTMB agency services supporting MDHHS. The resource will be pivotal in designing, executing, and managing our cloud projects to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. The position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, architecture design, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS. Skill Descriptions Requirements: 7+ years of Cloud technologies experience, preferably in AWS. Implement infrastructure as code using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources. Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to security best practices, including data encryption, identity and access management (IAM), network security, and compliance with relevant regulations. Optimize the performance of AWS resources and applications by tuning configurations, leveraging caching mechanisms, and implementing scalability features. Experience with AWS services like S3, EC2, VPC, LAMDA, Amazon manage streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK), B11ROSA(OpenShift) , EKS or ECS Fargate, ECR Implement cost-effective solutions by analyzing AWS pricing models, right-sizing resources, leveraging spot instances, and implementing cost monitoring and optimization strategies. Implement monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config, and other tools to ensure the health and performance of AWS resources, as well as troubleshoot issues as they arise. Experience with installing and configuring Elastic stack on a containerized environment. Experience in writing customized filters on Logstash. Working knowledge on all the Elastic agents. Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts such as Pods, Deployments, Services, and Persistent Volumes. Skill in building, managing, and troubleshooting Docker containers.
