Job Title:- Technical Program Manager

Remote work working in Central Time zone

6+ month contract with possible extension

C2C

Program manager to be IT technologist with proven skills in defining and managing work

across teams of 40 to 100 employees with a track record of successful software and product development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage/support project managers and architects of modernization projects in developing each project's scope of work, estimates, schedule and risk

Ensuring that all Project Plans are consistent, congruent, and integrate with the overall Program Plan

Ensuring that appropriate processes are used/followed (such as reporting, risk management, lessons learned, quality, escalating, communications etc.)

Accountability of the overall program execution. Programs need to be delivered within scope, timelines, quality and cost

Lead and manage the project managers that are in charge of the projects

Financial management, including monthly re-forecasting activities

Scope management

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience required.

CERTIFICATION:

PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or PgMP Certification preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

15-20 years of combined IT experience, with at least 5 years in hands-on technical roles and 10 or more in program management

Proven skills in all program management practices including defining requirements, solutioning, schedule management, financial management, staffing, risk management

Experience in managing both waterfall, agile and hybrid agile projects

Clear understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Proven experience in Software product development including build of highly critical, high performance applications

Strong technical knowledge to clearly understand and discuss technical issues and risks with architects, and client technical managers

Proven skills in a primary role for software product development with successful delivery

Proven prior skills in software engineering, including hands software development or software architecture

Strong communication skills to work with the client and multiple vendors

Strong people management skills, typically with indirect reports

Expert skills in identifying issues, mitigating risks, and managing change

Position is client facing with daily interaction with client directors and managing directors

Design and deliver presentations

Influence management

Highly skilled in managing financials, costs, revenue

Knowledge of IT Market, Strategy, and Trends

Fluent in English both written and spoken
