Role: Infrastructure Engineer Location : New Jersey City (Hybrid) Contract : 12+ Months Job Description: This position will assist in designing, architecture, installation and maintenance of the infrastructure and environments including but not limited to the following: web, ftp and MS-SQL servers, Exchange and cloud based service. This position assists with designing, implementation, monitoring and performing optimization of all infrastructure components consisting of on-premise, cloud and virtual servers, data networks that comprise the corporate LAN/WAN/SAN/VOICE and Internet configurations. Primary Responsibilities and Duties: Assist team to build, deploy and administer Windows 2012/2016/2019 servers, IIS configuration including setting up web/ftp sites, user access management and App pool management. Implement and administer common TCP/IP based services, including but not limited to DNS/DHCP, HTTPS, SFTP and SSH and SNMP. Maintain and monitor all network, security and security configuration and computer systems health to meet the organization's current and future requirements. Support the management, maintenance and architecture of storage, provides disk space management and LUN assignment. Assist the implementation and support of virtual environments using VMware and Cloud Services (Amazon/AWS and Azure) Support configuration maintenance which includes: identifying, testing and applying all pertinent service packs and fixes, and applying security patches based on vendor notifications. Install, maintain, and monitor Cisco routers, switches, WAN and wireless technology as well as IP routing protocols. Support point to point WAN technology and LAN and SAN topologies as required. Assist with architect, design and implementation of network security policies, procedures, VPN and ASA/PIX firewall. Maintain backup/restore and disaster recovery solutions. Create and maintain disaster recovery procedures and conduct tests. Implement replication technologies for seamless failover. Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements : Bachelor's degree plus at least two years of related experience; or at least four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology or related technical discipline is highly desired. Microsoft, VMware or Cisco certifications is a plus. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Advance knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, IIS, Clustering, and Exchange. Advance Knowledge of VMware virtualization platform. Advance understanding of storage technologies including SAN, iSCSI, LUNs. Extensive experience with cloud technologies; Compute, storage, load balancer, traffic gateways and security. Solid understanding of SSL certificate managements and encryption. Experience with traffic management such as load balancers and web filtering appliances. Solid understanding of SSL certificate managements and encryption. Experience with using utilities for Backup, System Patching and monitoring tools. Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Routing, and Server Security). Strong technical and computer skills. Ability to coordinate day to day activities for assigned projects. Ability to respectfully communicate with team and project stakeholders and to effectively collaborate within and across teams. Must be an innovate thinker. Strong customer focus with sense of urgency. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must be a fast learner with a genuine interest in learning new technologies and skills.
