This role will primarily involve analysis, with some project management work. Operational experience would be advantageous, as it demonstrates a deeper understanding of the practical aspects of security administration. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: - Folder Permissions Review:** Daily tasks will include reviewing folder permission reports and identifying improper permissions. - Analysis and Resolution:** Candidates will be responsible for analyzing potential business disruptions caused by improper permissions and devising plans to resolve them. - Data Collection:** They will also assist in collecting data for monthly project metrics, contributing to the overall project progress tracking. Responsibilities: Defines business/system requirements by facilitating user meetings and interviewing users, developing use cases, and researching and resolving issues. Participates in business analysis project planning and management by documenting and maintaining plans, managing issue logs and preparing project documentation. Analyzes current processes and recommends solutions and improved processes. May also oversee the acquisition, analysis and dissemination of subject matter knowledge. Provides technical and business knowledge to clients. Keeps abreast of technological and competitive developments. Conducts research on industry practices and standards and other benchmarking data. Codes and maintains business application programs from user instructions or formal functional specifications. **Technical Skills:** - **Excel Proficiency:** Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, are essential for data analysis and reporting. - **Security Permissions Knowledge:** Understanding of security permissions in shared folder structures is crucial for managing access rights effectively. **Additional Notes:** - Experience with Active Directory or LDAP would be advantageous, as it aligns with the role's requirements. - A security background is key, with a focus on understanding permissions, inheritance, and shared folder structures. - Familiarity with Varonis Data Advantage or similar tools is preferred, as it is used for managing permissions and analyzing data. - The environment is NAS, and understanding of Windows permissioning is considered adequate for the role's requirements.
