http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=1234976&uid= Title - Firewall Upgrade Network Specialist 12 years of experience is must Location - 2 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY ( 1 Day per week ONSITE / 4 Days per week REMOTE ) LOCAL ONLY End Client - NYC Office of Technology and Innovation Duration 12 Months SCOPE OF SERVICES: Network Routing and Switching: design, deploy, and troubleshooting MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered 12 years of experience in the field of networking Must have hands-on experience with BGP, MPLS, OSPF routing protocols in a large environment. 12 years of experience of Cisco network installations in multiple ring configurations interconnected over dark fiber. 6 years of experience in deploying Cisco Catalyst / Nexus Switches and NCS routers, with complete understanding of the limitations of line cards, power supplies and feature-sets. Experience in MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, iBGP, eBGP, IS-IS routing protocols 4 years of experience configuring CORE/PE and CPE routers/switches in a mid to large size organization or carriers. 2 years of experience and detailed understanding of designing and implementing overall enterprise QoS solution, including queuing for Catalyst, Nexus and NCS products. 4 years of experience and detailed understanding of deploying management protocols (SNMPv3, Syslog, Netflow, etc.) Understanding of optical technology theories and testing including but not limited to fiber types, fiber terminations, attenuation, power transmission, bandwidth, budget, and loss. 4 years of experience reviewing project design and system documents. Strong analytical and conceptual skills. Ability to work in cross functional teams, excellent attention to detail. Highly self-motivated and strong customer and quality-focus. Sound problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills. Experience working with technical and non-technical staff. Networking, configuration, VoIP or QoS. Valid/current CCNP certificate is REQUIRED DESIRED SKILLS Experience is designing including network architectural designs in MS Visio is desired Familiarity with City of New York network infrastructure environments and processes.
