POSITION DATA ARCHITECT LOCATION REMOTE LOCAL TO PHOENIX, AZ DURATION 12 MONTHS REQUIRED SKILLS Microsoft SQL experience (2016, 2019) Hands-on experience with data large datasets and warehousing solutions Python, JSON Data Architect plays a critical role in implementing, designing, and managing the organizations data architecture to ensure efficient data storage, analysis, and retrieval. They are responsible for developing strategies to address the organizations data requirements, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security. This role requires collaboration closely with various stakeholders including data scientists, engineers, analysts, and business leaders to understand the requirements and design scalable and optimized data solutions. Key Responsibilities: 1. Designing and implementing the organizations data architecture to support business objectives and data-driven decision-making 2. Developing data models, schemas, and dictionaries to ensure consistency and standardization across the organization 3. Evaluation and selecting appropriate technologies and tools for data storage, processing, and analysis 4. Establishing data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulations 5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translating them into technical specifications 6. Overseeing the implementation of data pipelines and data ingestion, transformation, and loading 7. Performing data analysis, profiling, and optimization to identify opportunities for performance improvement 8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on data architecture best practices Requirements: 1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 2. Proven experience working as a Data Architect or in a similar role 3. Strong background and knowledge of database technologies especially SQL 2016, 2019 and data modeling techniques 4. Hands-on experience with data large datasets and warehousing solutions 5. Proficiency in programming languages used for data manipulation and analysis (e.g., Python, JSON) 6. Strong understanding of data governance principles, data security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) 7. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams 9.
