Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experiments. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Analyze designs to designate necessary equipment to collect data. Evaluate and synthesize experimental tests and their results. Read and design plans to build electrical systems on a variety of products and machinery. Focus on manipulation and usage of electricity within a function of an engineered process. Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree is preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience. Understands schematics and electronic documentation. Advanced understanding of electrical engineering concepts. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 8+ years work experience Electrical hardware design at the discrete component level is a must Experience with embedded microprocessors, memory systems, analog circuits, schematic capture Schematic Capture (CAD). Must have experience with board level bring-up and testing with oscilloscope, bench power supplies, digital multimeter etc. Strong troubleshooting with embedded electronics experience is a must Preferred Requirements: Experience with Lithium ion, battery design and integration, gas gauging, charging, cell and battery management and development are all strongly preferred Knowledge and experience with common embedded communication protocols: USB, I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI, RS232, etc. is strongly preferred Product development experience and Design for manufacturing and reliability is highly preferred.
