Job Title: Databricks Platform Administrator Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6+ Months Contract JOB DESCRIPTION Core Responsibilities: Administer, configure, and optimize the Databricks platform to facilitate data analytics, machine learning, and data engineering operations across the organization. Engage with the data engineering team to streamline data processes including ingestion, transformation, and orchestration. Oversee and manage user privileges across the Databricks ecosystem, including workspace, Unity Catalog, and SQL warehouse settings. Provision and manage Databricks workspaces, cloud resources, account identities, and subscription settings. Ensure platform security and compliance through best practices in security, patching, and compliance. Monitor and optimize cluster and resource performance to manage costs and achieve optimal platform efficiency. Enforce access controls and security protocols to safeguard sensitive information. Administer Unity Catalog configurations, including schema data management and access permissions. Integrate and manage connections with Azure AD and Amazon AWS environments. Desirable Technical Skills: Required: At least 3 years of experience in supporting the Databricks platform in a production environment. Preferred: Minimum 2 years of experience with AWS/Azure PaaS solutions. Proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform, with at least 2 years of experience. A solid background in Hadoop administration (Cloudera/Hortonworks) for 2+ years. Experience in managing Apache Kafka streaming platforms for over 2 years.
