Job Title : Senior Manager- Data Governance Location: Downtown Houston, TX (Day 1 Onsite) Duration : 6+ Months Experience Level: 10+ Years Job Description : Work alongside overall data governance lead to help implement data governance program for Energy NA Gas business. Develop data governance framework for data practices, policies, and standards Collaborate with business, technology and cross-functions to develop understanding of data requirements, challenges and pain points Drive maturity assessment, define the current state, future state and north star Develop enterprise data operating model across people, process, technology and governance Develop and implement an effective data governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures for managing and ensuring data quality and integrity Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance goals, objectives, and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the data governance program Monitor and assess data quality across various systems and databases, identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to enhance data accuracy and consistency Establish and oversee data quality rules, definitions, and validation processes to maintain high standards of data accuracy and completeness Define and manage metadata standards, taxonomies, and ontologies to facilitate effective data classification, search, and retrieval Maintain and update metadata repositories and catalogs, ensuring consistent documentation of data assets, relationships, and lineage Collaborate with data stewards and business units to identify and assign data ownership responsibilities, ensuring data is managed effectively and in alignment with business needs.
