From: Priyanka Maurya, Tek Inspirations LLC [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Role: Low Latency Equities Developer Location: NYC office 2-3 days/week LinkedIn needed Skills: Building out the new low latency trading platform, the candidate should be a Java expert and have a detailed working knowledge of Java and the JVM (Java Virtual Machine), garbage collection, data structures, etc. Additionally, there is an expectation that the candidate is well-versed in writing low latency Java code and will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of this subject area, in terms of techniques used to improve performance, as well as a proven track record in such a role. The candidate will work in a team of Senior Devs. This is an opportunity for the candidate to come in and add huge value in producing a system which will underpin all Cash and Electronic trading functionality for the foreseeable future. Longer term, there will also be opportunities for the candidate to be involved in either the algorithmic trading platform, or the smart order router projects if they expressed such a desire. It is also expected for the candidate work on production support issues (via a Rota) and be involved in improvements on automation and dev ops. Responsible For: Building out the new low latency trading system, DevOps and production support Major Challenges: Helping to build out the next generation of Equities execution platform ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: (Experience, skills, competencies, etc.) Must have strong core Java skills Knowledge of zero GC architectures Experience of working with Low latency systems Must have a very good knowledge of collections, their implementation and their optimization.
