Solution Architect Job Description The Architect develops detailed solution roadmaps for a specific system, project, or application. You will partner closely with engineers and project management to ensure that implementation meets design expectations and adheres to enterprise architecture standards. Solution/system Design of System architecture and roadmap Utilize architecture best practices and standards in design and build Design and document re-usable and scalable frameworks and components Provide first level effort and cost assessments to departmental initiatives Coordinate & collaborate with counterparts in other departments to ensure technology solutions are built for the enterprise Assist management in making technology decisions by weighing in on risk and ROI Participate and contribute to yearly strategic initiative planning and funding discussions Collaborate with Product Management, Domain Architects and Lead Engineer to bring projects from concept to implementation qualifications Bachelors degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent. 10+ years of software engineering experience including at least 4 years at aretail/supply-chain organization in Solution Architect capacity Well experienced in the Retail/Supply chain industry, familiar with application systems and business practices in this realm. Especially Warehouse Management Systems.
