We are looking for a Cloud Database Specialist to join our team. he ideal candidate will have experience in integrating, deploying, and managing relational and/or NoSQL databases in cloud environments like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will be responsible for evaluating, preparing, and implementing new and upgraded cloud database offerings, as well as guiding our internal teams on best practices and techniques. Responsibilities Evaluate and prepare new and upgraded cloud database offerings. Document and present best practices and techniques for database integration, deployment, and management. Deploy enterprise-scale cloud database solutions with a focus on high availability, fault tolerance, replication, and automated provisioning. Implement backup & restoration techniques, security mechanisms, health monitoring, and alerting strategies. Requirements Solid knowledge of DBMS concepts such as ACID, CAP, and consistency. Experience with enterprise-scale cloud database deployments. Ability to write code or script for database-related tools and utilities. Experience with Unix command line. Knowledge of virtualization and cloud infrastructures such as VMWare, Kubernetes, and Docker. Experience Experience with relational technologies like Postgres, Oracle, or equivalent. Familiarity with logical database replication technology like GoldenGate. Knowledge of HA and GDHA using technologies like Patroni. Proficiency in Terraform, Python, or Ansible. Understanding of cloud database technology infrastructure including storage, hardware, backup/recovery, monitoring/alerting, and security.
