Job Title: VMware Admin Job Location: Hybrid at Hartford, CT Duration: 12 Months Visa: USC/GC/GCEAD/Only Candidate must be within 100 miles ** Provide server and related infrastructure support to the Connecticut Department of Public Health State Laboratory, which is implementing new laboratory information management systems and a new high-performance computing device for genomic sequencing work Installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware and operating systems Administration and management of VMWare infrastructure like vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and virtual machines. Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability. Implementing security measures, including backups, and data protection. Managing software updates, patches, and system upgrades. Automating administrative tasks and creating scripts for system management. Craft and implement network configurations and test plans Gathering and presenting System Performance Metrics Perform platform software upgrades and failover testing Administration of routers, switches, and other network equipment Perform audits as needed Work with IT teams in preparing platform enhancements and configurations Identify areas of the infrastructure for optimization Develop detailed architectural diagrams and procedure documents Trust is Contagious!!
