This opportunity requires onsite presence for 3 days a week at our downtown Nashville office for consulting/contracting over a 2+ year period. Responsibilities: Apply software development principles and Object-Oriented development and design patterns. Utilize back-end technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, .NET, REST API, Linux, Apache Spark, microservices, etc. Focus on constructing scalable and high-performance systems. Demonstrate a robust knowledge of Python programming language and its frameworks, with an emphasis on back-end development, along with a background/experience in C#. Work with Azure technologies including Kubernetes, Data Factory, Containers/Pods/Docker, Batch/Parallel HPC (High-performance computing). Implement parallel programming concepts and packages for parallelization/multiprocessing/cloud. Write SQL queries and stored procedures on large datasets with a focus on performance optimization. Take ownership of systems and drive innovation, introducing new technologies and approaches to enhance system performance and functionality. Craft clean, maintainable, extensible, and well-documented code. Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Foster excellent communication and collaboration within the team.
