Candidates must have a focus on Cisco Nexus switches and In-depth knowledge of Nexus switch configuration, including VLANs, VRFs, STP, VPC, FabricPath, and NX-OS. This position is Hybrid in Commack/Long Island. **Candidates must have Long Projects/Good Tenure, Excellent communication skills and a State issued ID (Not Bills) showing they are Local. *** Candidate Must Haves on a resume and for submittal: 1. How many years working with: Network Engineer 2. How many years working with: Nexus 3. How many years working with: Cisco 4. How many years working with: 5. How many years working with: Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Network Engineer, with a focus on Cisco Nexus switches. In-depth knowledge of Nexus switch configuration, including VLANs, VRFs, STP, VPC, FabricPath, and NX-OS. Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and QoS. Experience with network security concepts and technologies, including ACLs, Firewalls, VPNs, and Security Groups. Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark, SNMP, NetFlow, and Syslog. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
