Role: Workday ETL Sr. Test Engineer Experience: 8+ Years Location : Houston, TX Day1 onsite role Responsibilities: Conduct end-to-end testing of data migration workflows, data mappings, and data transformations to validate data accuracy, integrity, and completeness. Perform data reconciliation and verification using SQL queries, data comparison tools, and reconciliation reports to ensure consistency between source and target data. Design test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing. Leverage extensive experience in migration to lead the development and execution of test strategies and plans for migrating legacy systems to Workday. Conduct ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) testing to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. Manage test environments, data sets, and configurations to support testing activities across multiple Workday modules and environments. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Strong understanding of data migration concepts, data mapping, and data transformation strategies. 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on testing enterprise applications, preferably Workday modules. Understanding HR and HCM concepts, business processes, and regulations (HCM Fundamentals, Prism, People Analytics, reports etc) is a plus. Familiarity with ETL testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) and API testing tools and techniques. Developing and implementing data quality automation solutions, leveraging Python language, to enhance and streamline data quality assurance processes is considered as a plus. Effective communication and interpersonal skills can collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership. Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) and Workday (e.g., Workday Pro, Workday HCM Fundamentals, Prism, People Analytics and reports).
