Architectural Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available Azure-based solutions that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, design patterns, and coding standards. Solution Implementation: Lead the implementation of Azure solutions, including infrastructure setup, configuration, integration, and deployment, while optimizing for performance, cost, and reliability. Cloud Governance: Establish and enforce cloud governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance, security, and cost optimization across Azure environments. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, security, and business stakeholders, to drive successful project delivery and continuous improvement. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with Azure solutions, including security vulnerabilities, performance bottlenecks, and compliance issues. Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest Azure technologies, trends, and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization's cloud strategy. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and deployment procedures, to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure the maintainability of Azure environments. Other requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Eight to ten years of experience in a technical leadership position, of which recent five years should have been as an Azure Architect. Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Administrator Associate. Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure DevOps. Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices and serverless computing. Experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions. Experience with hybrid cloud architectures, including Azure Stack and Azure Arc. Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform. Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations, such as GDPR, or PCI. Experience with big data technologies and analytics platforms, such as Azure Databricks, Snowflake or Azure Synapse Analytics. Previous experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions on Azure.
