Subject Matter Expert/Release Train Engineer / Scrum Master also handle traditional project management duties including: scope definition, staffing, communication of status to clients and partners, budget oversight and risk/issue management. Additionally, they often author user stories, acceptance criteria and execute aportion of the testing on projects. The RTE is a servant leader that acts as the chiefScrum Master for an Agile Release Train (ART). Cross Work stream alignment - Supporting the team throughout the definition of the project scope and throughout the lifecycle of the project with cross-work stream coordination. Project Governance - ensuring that the project is following the established governanceas outlined by the Standard. Responsible for conducting Release Planning activities for shippable softwarein alignment with increment objectives and roadmap Coordinates the merge of code for release across value streams Responsible for facilitation of PI Planning and PI Retrospective Lead Demo Review & Preparation and Release Planning activities Responsible for leading the Scrum of Scrums ceremonies RTE scommunicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement. Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments(PIs) Actively leading pre-PI planning events with SMs and Product Team to ensure PI Planning readiness Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency Driverelentless improvement via Inspectand Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and help the mimprove Practical understanding of how to scope and estimate work.
