Position: Power BI Developer Duration: 12+ months Location: Hybrid 2x/week on site Middletown,CT Interview Process: 1 In-Person Interview (non-negotiable) Job Description: Developing moderate to complex SSRS reports, Power BI reports, and Data Visualization Dashboards. Experience developing Reports using Transact Structured Query Language (T-SQL). Writing ad-hoc SQL queries to support the operational needs of the agency. Experience writing report Business Requirements and Design Specifications. Creating and executing Test Cases to reduce the delivery time of reports. Integrating Unit Testing into SSRS reports. Experience developing reports in a clinical environment is a plus. Investigating and mitigating production support issues with reports not delivering expected results. Monitoring Report query performance and tune accordingly. Collaborating with agency users of all levels in support of our development work. Providing time estimates for current and future IT development work. Experience as an Administrator for Power BI server. Experience in data analysis including structuring data for analysis within Power BI. Experience with data modeling, including designing data models within Power BI. Experience using Power BI, including creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations from scratch. Experience with setting up infrastructure, security, and user management on a Power BI Server. Experience utilizing data security principles including implementing role-level and data-level security in Power BI to control data access. Experience communicating with stakeholders to explain insights derived from data using presentations and trainings. Performing related duties as required. Skills: Minimum of 7 years of SSRS development experience. Minimum of 7 years of T-SQL development experience. Experienced Power BI Administrator. 3+ years Experienced Power BI Report Developer. 3+ years Knowledge of data modeling principles. Enterprise Data Warehousing experience. Passionate about complex data structures and problem solving. Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly.
