The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in building enterprise-level banking architectures and a deep understanding of the industry's best practices and regulations. Responsibilities: Enterprise Architecture: Implement enterprise-level banking architectures, integrating various systems and components. service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and other architectural patterns appropriate for the banking domain. adherence to banking industry standards, such as ISO 20022, SWIFT, and BIAN. with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Check Item Processing: Implement scalable check processing systems, including image capture, recognition, clearing, and settlement processes. check truncation and image exchange protocols (e.g., X9.37, X9.100, ICL) into the overall architecture. fraud detection and risk management strategies for check processing operations. Dispute Returns/Adjustments: Implement processes and systems for handling disputes, returns, and adjustments related to check transactions, ACH transactions, and other payment types. compliance with regulations and guidelines such as Regulation E (Electronic Fund Transfers) and Regulation CC (Expedited Funds Availability Act). dispute management processes with core banking systems, CRM, and other relevant systems. Collections: and implement collections systems, including account monitoring, delinquency management, and recovery processes. compliance with fair debt collection practices and relevant regulations. collections processes with customer data, account management, and reporting systems. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in solutions architecture, with a focus on banking operations, check processing, dispute management, and collections. understanding of banking industry regulations, best practices, and compliance requirements. knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and enterprise integration patterns. Knowledge in programming languages, databases, and infrastructure technologies relevant to the banking industry. Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams.
