Firewall engineers will also need to independently troubleshoot enterprise network issues to ensure continuity of service for customers. Required Skills: Ability to work in a team environment and produce work products independently Pursing professional development opportunities through certifications, training, or conferences that enhance both technical and non-technical skill sets relevant to their role within the organization. Submitting written and verbal status reports as requested to management staff. DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification Security+ ce, CCNA, CCNP, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP within six months of hire. Operating System/Computing Environment Certification Certification in a current or the latest version of an enterprise version of Cisco Administration. 8570 IA Compliant/OS cert B.A or B.S. in a degree such as Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology.
