Job Title: CA ESP Batch Scheduler SME Location: Remote Duration: Long Term Description: Enterprise Batch Scheduling platforms SME is responsible for design, build and manage the scheduling platform, collaborate with application and end users while building the automating jobs as per the business needs and establishing standard operating procedure to manage the run schedules. Some of the responsibilities are follows: Perform general supervision, implementing, maintaining and scheduling workloads and event-based processes. Perform analysis, design and implementation of batch processing workflows using CA ESP, Active Batch, Control-M Workload Automation platforms Must be familiar with varying server OS platforms (Z/OS, Linux, Unix, Windows, etc.), and JCL, REXX scripting experience Responsible for implementing job streams with complex dependencies and managing complex calendar schedules using the CA ESP Workload Automation Oversee all operational activities for enterprise system applications in scope, meeting required deadlines. Good knowledge on administration, creation and maintenance of calendars, review and implementation of all IT job processing, optimization of job schedules, monitoring and reporting, as well as analysis of job failures. Responsible for overseeing the restart and rerun of all production jobs, creating and maintaining accurate documentation, including all job dependencies, and the development and maintenance of standard operation procedures. Understands the business requirements and structures plans, processes, and procedures to address customer requests quickly and effectively within audit guidelines Continuous Improvement and Automation Evading Incidents, Self-Healing, Reports, Alerts, Reduce repeated tasks Assist in developing or improving batch operations best practices Responsible for the organization of workloads in the operational environment Understand impact of changes to job processing and adjust schedules modifying as necessary for scheduled maintenance, etc. Monitor and respond to alarms, assess impact, troubleshoot and resolve problems Responsible for changes to IT production environments, managing change control documentation as changes are made, managing the change control meetings and communicating changes to IT services and business users who are impacted. Document all changes.
