Position: Senior L3/Lead Linux Engineer Location : Minneapolis, MN (Remote, USC Only) Duration:6+Months Interview: Skype LinkedIn is required Description: Note : Please look for US Citizens only. We would be looking for someone who has L3/Lead level experience (10+ years) as a Linux engineer. Has strong experience in automating things (thinking outside of the box). Should be a senior engineer or team lead who can contribute to strategy around their technology area. 1) 8+ years of experience supporting Open Source Linux (CentOS, Rocky, RHEL -free) 2) Experience with Perl, Bash or other standard scripting languages 3) Open minded/curious or experienced with automation via scripting (moving away for legacy mindsets around things not getting updated). 4) Experience with Ansible is nice to have. Primary Responsibilities: Day to day support/administration and patching. They should have experience in deploying, configuring, and managing/supporting Linux-based systems in a business environment. Coordination and Compatibility: They collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of fully tested and compatible devices that meet product requirements. Their guidance and support enable optimal usage of Linux technology. Linux Instance Management: Linux engineers create, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux instances across multiple networks and architectures. They address issues reported by customers to ensure smooth operation. Qualifications and Skills: A typical Linux engineer holds a bachelors or masters degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field. Strong scripting and computing skills are essential. Proficiency in programming languages and working with cloud systems is valuable.
