But candidate can work from anywhere in east coast Duration: 12+ MONTHS JD: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, hands-on experience with Python for ETL testing, and a proven track record of ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement data quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data. Design and execute SQL queries and scripts to perform data validation, data profiling, and data cleansing. Utilize Python for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) testing to verify the integrity of data transformations and ensure the accuracy of data loads. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data quality requirements and establish best practices for data management. Analyze testing reports and identify data quality issues, root causes, and potential solutions. Work closely with data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to resolve data quality issues in a timely manner. Document data quality rules, test cases, and validation procedures for future reference. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data quality management and testing. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Strong proficiency in SQL with experience in writing complex queries and stored procedures. Hands-on experience with Python for ETL testing and automation. Experience in testing and validating financial data is highly desirable. Solid understanding of data quality concepts, data profiling techniques, and data governance principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
