Veeam Specialist Location- On-site in Houston, TEXAS Duration: 6+ Months Visa- USC or Green Card holders. **Candidates must be local to Texas Someone who is familiar with Veeam and/Or other backup technologies, but NOT an expert level person . Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Help maintain and monitor all enterprise Veeam Backup and Recovery servers, in all domains - Supporting other team members with all Veeam administrative functions to ensure no jobs are failed - Opening tickets on failed jobs for tracking and resolving them in a timely manner - Supporting daily tape backup information and coordinating tape pick-up - Help identify, recommend, and implement solutions for process improvement with backups - Automating and/or writing/editing scripts to help automate Veeam jobs/reports - Review, document, edit all current Veeam processes and keeping processes current - Work incident, tasks, change requests and new server builds assigned to team - Troubleshooting Veeam issues to resolution - Accountable for morning review and ticket creations - Support any/all acquisitions with same or different backup technologies Requirements: The candidate will possess the following skill set: - Ability to handle multiple workloads at the same time/multi-task - 2+ years experience with supporting large enterprise server backup environments - 1+ years experience with scripting tools; such as Power, reading and writing scripts - 2+ years experience with Veeam or other backup technologies - Experience working with SQL and writing SQL queries, specifically relating to Veeam One or Veeam reporting - Experience with backup technologies - Working knowledge of Veeam Backup and Recovery (or other backup software), Veeam One, Service Now/Remedy, working with Secure Networks, migrations and decommissions Nice to have experience: - Experience with Business Continuity Plans (disaster recovery plans) - Experience with VMWare/virtual environments - Experience with Veeam Backup and Recovery - Experience with RedHat Linux Required Soft Skills: - Team player and willing to work in small to large groups as needed to resolve issues - Ability to stay on task and work to completion - Great customer service skills and willingness to cross-train with others - Be a self-starter, ambitious, creative thinker, doesn't except status quo and always looking at ways to continue to move the group forward Keywords: Veeam Specialist- Onsite in TX :: USC or GC Only :: Local Only [email protected] |
