Job Title:- Systems Engineering Lead Remote Duration:- 6 months C2c State of Wisconsins No Job Description:- Seeking a motivated Systems Engineering Lead that will provide innovative solutions within a diverse Enterprise environment with multiple, cloud services and on-premises infrastructure components. The person in this role will be a technical lead for our clients backend infrastructure services. These services or systems include areas within the Microsoft Services arena including but not limited to Active Directory (AD) services including ADFS, Group Policy, Distributed File Services, Azure subscriptions, DHCP, and networking protocols and services. Responsibilities Include: Responsible for third (3rd) level technical support functions for the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), monitoring tools, multi-factor authentication, storage and backup, Power scripting, and numerous customized off the shelf applications that have been implemented by our client. A high-level understanding of networking protocols and network connectivity will be required. Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in the administration, maintenance, and support of numerous backend systems that support application development, security, and desktop infrastructure. Directing and managing the workload of team members and managing the on call support functions for the operations team. Work closely with Information Technology professionals to ensure technical components are available for projects and working properly. Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates or new services. Projecting for possible challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources, and scope changes to the project. Work closely with the supervisor and project teams to successfully monitor the progress of initiatives, provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions, and define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution. Direct a small team in completing tasks, improving on operational support or maintenance, and document processes as needed. Additional Details - ALL candidates must be located within the United States. ALL contact information must also be domestic. Absolutely no work outside of the US is allowed. This is a 100% remote. Selected candidate will not be assigned specific workspace, however, may be required to report in person in Madison, WI as needed with minimal notice. Phone and web-based interviews will be acceptable. An in-person interview may be required before a final hire is made. Please provide three (3) business references for the interview. Candidates will be required to complete any security training as directed by the division, department, or agency. The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and any fingerprinting as required by the position. Selected candidate must provide copies of any/all certifications as part of the hiring process. Candidates will be required to provide their own equipment for this position. On Call hours required Yes 3000 Weekend coverage for maintenance or support is required. Requirements Required Skills/Experience: 10 years experience analyzing new and current technologies used within an organization with the ability to document and recommend solutions to improve on performance, stability, and cost savings. Experience leading a project team as a technical expert in system implementation, working with project managers and leadership to set project goals, identifying subject matter experts, providing technical best practices to help in decision-making, and the lead technical support for different projects and systems. Expert level system administration skills for Microsoft Windows servers, Active Directory Administration, and other MS core services like Group Policy, DFS, DHCP, DNS, to manage, monitor, and support the Managed Application Servers. Well versed in the creation, support, and maintenance of certificates for the core systems, 3rd party integrations, and other authentication or authorization service needs. Expert knowledge of multi-factor authentication services. MS Office 365 support Teams, email, other. System administrator for MS Azure subscriptions and services. Expert knowledge in configuring LDAP. MS Visio - Proven competencies in documenting infrastructure components for complex systems.
