Job Responsibilities: Manage and optimize data streaming and API components in OpenShift Onpremise and AWS environments. Conduct proactive reviews of application APIs and processes to identify optimization opportunities for various application components. Automate various testing procedures, including data quality checks, delivery to production, and deployment for production. Develop integrations between Onpremise and AWS applications and third-party tools (ServiceNow, VersionOne, Sumo). Collaborate with teams to establish SLI/SLO's. Lead troubleshooting efforts for degraded performance and complex issues, documenting solutions from root cause analysis. Innovate the cloud infrastructure ecosystem through experimentation with emerging technologies and prototyping. Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for deploying various application artifacts. Configure monitoring and alerting metrics to facilitate proactive issue validation and resolution. Ensure data integrity and access control using AWS security tools and services. Monitor AWS billing, generate cost-related reports, and implement cost optimization strategies. Collaborate with security architects to design and implement data security measures, encryption, and key management. Monitor and analyze platform capacity and performance, implementing elastic infrastructure to accommodate fluctuating user traffic. Develop backup strategies and implement backup solutions for critical data and application components. Provide input on continuous improvement efforts related to design, performance, and security enhancements. Desired Skills and Qualifications: Deep understanding of AWS cloud platforms and operations. Proficiency in automation, scripting, and monitoring tools such as OpenShift, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, , and Python. Experience with infrastructure layers including Linux OS, virtualization platforms, network technologies, load balancers, firewalls, and storage. Demonstrated experience in end-to-end operations for enterprise systems and applications. Experience automating and improving Development/QA using CI/CD tools like GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and Nexus. Familiarity with software release management processes. BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum 3+ years of DevOps or SysOps engineering experience with a focus on major cloud platforms (AWS preferred). Minimum 2+ years of application development experience, including data streaming and deploying/monitoring high availability critical application components.
