Job Description Role: IOT Consultant Employment Type: Contract Work location: Onsite 3 days a week @ Clinton Township, MI 48038 Work mode : Hybrid - 3 days a week from office / 2 days a week remote About the Role About the Role: We are seeking an experienced IOT engineer with a strong background in IOT protocols. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding and testing features of devices, platforms. Job Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy IoT solutions using AWS IoT Core, AWS FleetWise, and other AWS services. Develop backend services and APIs to support IoT device connectivity, data processing, and integration with other systems. Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality IoT solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IoT solutions with existing systems and applications. Implement IoT security best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IoT data. Integration with cameras software upgrades, patches and management using Third-party cameras software services, tools, APIs. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IoT device connectivity, data transmission, and backend integration. Mandatory Skills 5+ years of experience in IoT development, with a focus on AWS IoT Core, AWS FleetWise, IoT GreenGrass Agent and backend services development. AWS certification is a plus. Required Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Required Experience Strong programming skills in Python, Java or Golang Experience with IoT protocols such as MQTT and HTTPs. Experience with video streaming services such as Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka. Experience with IoT devices integration with Cameras, Sensors, GPS tracking devices. Knowledge of database technologies like AWS S3, DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, or Amazon Redshift. Familiarity with DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code (IaC) and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
